The Basic Occupational Safety and Health Training for Safety Officer 2 (BOSH SO2), held on June 15-18, 2026 via Zoom Meeting, was conducted to develop participants’ capability in managing and implementing workplace safety and health systems. It introduced fundamental concepts such as hazard recognition, evaluation of risks, control measures, incident prevention, and understanding of applicable occupational safety regulations.

The sessions were facilitated through a combination of virtual lectures, group interactions, and scenario-based exercises that encouraged participation and knowledge sharing. These strategies allowed participants to better analyze workplace conditions and apply appropriate safety practices in different situations.

Through this training, participants were better prepared to promote a safer work environment by identifying potential hazards, implementing preventive actions, and ensuring compliance with established safety standards. It also supports the continuous improvement of workplace safety practices, encourages accountability, and helps protect the health and welfare of employees.
